Our History

1985
Founded in 1985 by Jaime Perez Martinez, Elbtrade began serving our clients from our first offices at Pickhuben 6, in the historic Speicherstadt of Hamburg’s Hafencity district. The Speicherstadt, meaning “City of Warehouses”, is the largest warehouse district in the world built on timber-pile foundations and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

1994
Ownership of the company changed hands after the passing of Perez Martinez in 1994. Since that time, Karin Perez has been at the helm. In this year, she oversaw the company’s move to its current headquarters into the historic Kontorhaus Stubbenhuk where we continue our tradition of dependable quality service.

Strategically located in the heart of the Hamburg port, Elbtrade has its finger on the pulse of the industrial harbour trade. With a commitment to excellence and reliability, the future looks bright for Hamburg’s marine and industrial equipment suppliers.
